  The Buzz Lite, the first Mosquito Bay Skiff model, is a shallow water skiff designed to perform with less horsepower, offer more stability, more functionality, and more versatility, at a relatively low cost to you.  This 17' skiff performs well with a 25 HP tiller, reaching speeds in excess of 25 MPH with 2 anglers aboard.  It is rated up to 50 HP (tiller, 90 with steering), and a passenger rating of 8 persons, or 1,100 lbs.  With a net weight of 500 lbs., it can be towed easily by smaller vehicles.  It has a draft of 5" with a hull designed to be dead quiet with zero hull slap while fishing.  With our hydro tested "Tru Trac" hull design, this skiff is a dream to pole.

The boat is constructed wood free, using fiberglass and foam.  All hand laid 1.5 oz. matt and bi-directional fiberglass for strength and light weight.  The floor and decks are 1/2" Divinycell core.  No chopper guns used here.  The hull is completely foamed filled exceeding Coast Guard standards.

We have recently revised this model to accommodate a trolling motor better by creating a raised platform on the forward deck.  We have also made some of the optional equipment standard, such as navigation lights, bilge pump, and flush cleats.  With a price of $5,995, it's sure to please the most budget conscious boaters out there.  Check out the Buzz Lite when you have the chance.  Don't get stung by an over priced, over hyped skiff that drains your wallet and leaves you little left to enjoy the boat with.  Trades and consignments are encouraged.
